Our Story

Our experience and knowledge working with other outsourcing companies in India and Phillipines has helped build a solid foundation for FRS Business Solutions.  We identified that outsourcing companies face the same shortfalls time and time again, including;

  • Network connectivity issues
  • Language interpretation issues
  • Lack of support for staff offshore to remedy issues.
  • Inability to control work processes leading to errors and disputes.
  • Lack of understanding of Australian requirements/cultural differences.

It was abundantly clear there was an opportunity to do this right and provide a high quality and cost effective offshoring service to Australian businesses.   Co-founders Tom Farries and Matthew Farries, combined their skills and expertise in accounting, Engineering and IT, to form FRS Business Solutions in 2015 to achieve this goal.

Thailand was the country of choice to start FRS Business Solutions for a number of key reasons.

  • Burgeoning market with a large quantity of motivated highly-trained and educated staff.
  • Relatively new market for English speaking Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) providers. 
  • High level of staff retention.
  • More cost effective staffing compared with other countries in region.
  • High quantity of people with English speaking and literacy skills.
  • Superior internet connectivity and uptime to regional neighbours.

Tom has worked for in a diverse range of companies in Australia and overseas for over 50 years both in private and public sectors. Spending more than 15 years living and working in Asia setting up offshore operations, and developing internal procedures in Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, China, Greece, United Kingdom and the Philippines.  It is this experience that makes FRS stand out as an offshore processing center.

    

Matthew Farries BE(Mech) holds an engineering degree and has spent the last 8 years working in the mining industry in Australia.  In this time he has worked on countless engineering projects for Onesteel, BHP Billiton, Arium Mining and Yara.  The bulk of these projects were completed during shutdown maintenance phases at sites where time was closely monitored and projects were strictly controlled.  He has extensive project management skills which he can use to assist clients with projects.  He has also worked with organisations to apply lean manufacturing strategies to reduce operational costs and increase productivity.
